TOP-KNOBS set new standards in medical Electronics

OKW reports that a growing numbers of designers are specifying its award-winning TOP-KNOBS for medical electronics. With their unique styling, TOP-KNOBS are also said to be ideal for measuring and control, laboratory equipment, HVAC, communications and building management.

TOP-KNOBS set new standards in medical Electronics

Each potentiometer knob comprises a main body with a clip-in marking element that hides the lateral fixing screw and enables fine calibration. There are five elements (Pin, Globe, Disk, Wing, Arrow) in a range of attractive pastel colours: coral (pink), beach (yellow), lagoon (green), sky (blue) and mineral (grey). The main knob body is volcano (grey) or nero (black) as standard.

TOP-KNOBS can be specified with either a push-on fixing (for potentiometer shafts with flattened ends) or a lateral screw (DIN 41591). The fixing method rules out any possibility of contact with live parts. The underside of each knob is recessed to accommodate potentiometer fixing nuts.

The tuning knobs are moulded from PA6 in five diameters - 16 mm, 20 mm, 24 mm, 31 mm and 40 mm - for boreholes of 4mm, 6mm, 1/4" and 6/4.6 mm. Accessories include M7, M10 and 3/8"-32G round nuts for securing potentiometers to front panels.

OKW can supply TOP-KNOBS fully customised. Services include machining, printing, laser marking and installation/assembly of accessories.
