WEGmotion Drives promotes water industry system unity

At WEG's stand, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the company's innovative offerings for water management. This includes the W23 Sync+ motor line, a hybrid motor that combines permanent magnet (PM), ferrite or neodymium magnets and synchronous reluctance (SynRM) motor technologies. The design offers a higher level of efficiency for the entire speed range compared with conventional induction motors and a higher power factor than synchronous reluctance motors. This results in a lower total cost of ownership (TCO) for plant managers.

WEG will also exhibit its WG50 gearbox range. The WG50 gearbox line is versatile, reliable and has a modular design, making it well suited to a wide range of applications including those in the water industry. The design integrates cylindrical gears featuring helical teeth, guaranteeing smooth and efficient functionality while delivering peak performance and reliability. These gearboxes offer the flexibility of parallel or orthogonal shaft options and are accessible in ratios spanning from 6.30 to 450, with capacities ranging from 22,000 to 178,000 Nm.

Finally, WEG will highlight the benefits of opting for a WEGmotion Drives package a solution seamlessly combining multiple WEG products in one integrated package. By using an integrated solution, water industry plant managers can maximise the performance of their machines.

The focus of Aqua Nederland this year revolves around the seamless integration of the Netherlands' water cycle, which is steadily becoming more unified, explained Martijn Brinks, commercial branch manager at WEG Netherlands.
