AC cabinet cooling fans cut energy consumption by more than 30%

EAO has introduced a new series of energy efficient electronically commutated (EC) axial fans. The latest additions to the Sanyo Denki San Ace family of equipment cooling fans, the San Ace 172AD and 172ADW measure just 99mm by 250mm but deliver the cooling performance and low noise requirements demanded by high static pressure cooling applications such as FFU (fan filter units), air purifiers, cooling inverters and high-density telecom cabinets.

KEB drive controllers help optimise servo-hydraulic press to ensure fewer rejects

KEB Automation has supplied a variety of drive controllers from its COMBIVERT range, as well as Active Infeed Converters to MS-Hydraulik, a developer of servo-hydraulic press technology based in Hattingen, Germany. The KEB products were specified for a special purpose, 1200-tonne capacity servo-hydraulic press that produces large individual steel parts for vehicle construction.

Manufacturer turns to Delta for machine vision robotic solution

Metal LS, the Bulgarian manufacturer of door locking systems, door and window handles and building hardware, started planning the new automated assembly of door locks in 2019. The robotic systems that the company already used for other applications were too large for the planned production site, so the new solutions needed to be as compact and precise as possible, in addition to being state of the art.

Tsubaki high durability chain reduces costs for conveyor application

A French sawmill has reduced its overhead costs while decreasing downtime and maintenance hours by upgrading its roller chain. The sawmill conveyor’s standard chain, which had a lifetime of just six months, has now been replaced by a Tsubaki Titan Chain. Designed for heavy duty applications and use in adverse conditions, the Tsubaki chain is set to lower total cost of ownership (TCO).

Sulzer PLA production technology selected for NatureWorks" new plant

Sulzer Chemtech is delivering customised state-of-the-art production technology to NatureWorks’ latest biopolymer manufacturing facility in Thailand. Developed to support the increasing global demand for polylactic acid (PLA) bioplastics, the fully integrated plant will utilise Sulzer Chemtech’s advanced lactide purification and polymer production technology to produce 75,000 tons per year of Ingeo PLA annually.

All five NSK European production plants sourcing green electricity

NSK has signed a contract with the electricity provider of its two UK manufacturing facilities in Newark (industrial bearings and linear guides) and Peterlee (automotive bearings) that ensures the supply of ‘green electricity’ generated from wind power. In other words, the provider confirms that it is producing green electricity from renewable sources to match the consumption demands of NSK’s UK-based plants.

Interroll receives large order in South Korea

Interroll reports a large order for delivery to a South Korean e-commerce company. It comprises the delivery of Interroll’s Modular Conveyor Platform (MCP), which is designed for highly efficient and flexible material-flow processes. The contract amounts to a lower double-digit million Swiss franc figure.
