A single vision platform for numerous tasks

Vision sensors are usually designed for individual, specific tasks. By contrast, Pepperl+Fuchs says its new SmartRunner Explorer 3D product family offers high-precision solutions that can be used in a wide variety of areas. This technology allows for the capture of a comparatively much larger range of data, opening up new possibilities for application. The two versions of this product – Stereo Vision and Time of Flight (ToF) – are based on the same platform with the same housing, standardised user software, and data output. The integration costs, says the company, are considerably reduced.

NSK Super-TF spherical roller bearings offer long service life in contaminated environments

The CC-Link Partner Association (CLPA) will participate online in the SPS – smart production solutions event via the ‘SPS on air’ digital platform to emphasise the role of Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) in digital transformation.
