Impress Sensors to showcase new digital pressure transmitters and multi-channel controllers at Sensing Technology 2012

Vehicle manufacturers and engine developers are fighting an ongoing battle to optimise performance, fuel economy and emissions. Although the last two are largely related, the emissions have to comply with standards such as Euro 5 (and Euro 6 from 2014) in Europe, and the EPA Phase 3A standards in the USA. Taking into account the global markets, differing standards for petrol (gasoline) and diesel cars, and the further standards for light commercial vehicles and lorries (trucks) and buses, the situation is highly complex.

Industrial connector module offers high-voltage transmission with minimum space requirement

A new high-voltage single module has been added to the Harting Han-Modular industrial connector series, allowing the transmission of extremely high voltages with a minimum space requirement. The new Han HV single module incorporates TEFLON material to provide high-voltage insulation, allowing a Han 24 B connector, for example, to be designed with up to 12 power contacts rated at 16 A and 2500 V. The module can also be combined with signal and pneumatic modules.

Harting and Tritec Systems sign Integrator Partner Agreement for RFID systems

Harting, the UK operation of the Harting Technology Group, has signed an Integrator Partner Agreement with Basingstoke-based Tritec Systems. with the intention of further developing sales and business opportunities for Harting's RFID (radio-frequency identification) product range.

Circuit board adaptor allows creation of multi-pin connector on printed circuit board

Harting has introduced a new 5-pin circuit board adaptor which, when combined with a Han DDD module from the company's proven Han-Modular series, makes it possible to create a multi-pin connector on a printed circuit board. The circuit board adapter can be pre-assembled on the PCB by following the hole pattern. A 17-pin circuit board connection is then created for the Han DDD module through the connection of two 6-pin adaptors and the new 5-pin circuit board adaptor.
