National Instruments is launching what it claims to be the industry's first 80-channel USB data acquisition devices, new BNC USB M series devices and a new USB-9237 C series module. The complete NI USB data acquisition offering now spans more than 45 devices with single-channel sampling rates of up to 1.25 MS/s, analogue generation of up to 2.86 MHz and correlated digital I/O of more than 1 MHz for low-, mid- and high-channel-count applications. The 80-channel USB M Series devices are claimed to be the industry's highest channel-count USB multifunction data acquisition devices, the BNC USB M series devices provide direct BNC connectivity and the USB C series modules offer less expensive and more portable hardware. With the plug-and-play connectivity of USB, engineers and scientists have an easy-to-use, portable device for their measurement, monitoring and control applications.
Using the 80-channel USB M series devices, engineers can collect more data with less equipment. The NI USB-6225 and USB-6255 offer 80 channels for analogue inputs and up to 1.25 MS/s (750 kS/s aggregate) sampling rates per channel. The devices feature NI signal streaming and provide up to 48 digital input/output lines and two counter/timers. Engineers can choose either integrated connectivity or mass termination to connect to the devices. Mass termination provides access to NI signal conditioning platforms or to custom boards.
NI USB-6221, USB-6229, USB-6251 and USB-6259 BNC USB M Series devices include the standard M series features along with direct BNC connectivity that provides up to 16 differential analogue inputs, four analogue outputs, eight digital I/O BNC connectors and up to 60 screw terminals. The BNC USB M Series features BNC connectivity directly on the USB device, eliminating the need for an extra cabled accessory to house BNC connections. BNC delivers easy and durable connectivity while achieving better noise rejection in a rugged, portable device suitable for benchtop, academic and field use. NI BNC devices have up to 1.25 MS/s (750 kS/s aggregate) sampling rates per channel, support NI signal streaming technology, provide up to 48 digital I/O lines and feature two counter/timers.
