Cleanroom flat cable management system for semiconductor and medical industry
Kabelschlepp Metool says its new Cleanveyor is an innovative cable carrier system that achieves very good cleanliness levels through minimal abrasion. The solution, which was developed specifically for use in cleanrooms, can also be equipped with cables and pneumatic hoses and delivered ready to install.
The flat cable management system is wear-resistant with low vibrations to keep the quantity of airborne particles to a minimum. Kabelschlepp Metool says it uses materials with an extremely low coefficient of friction for this product. The combination of highly wear-resistant cables, hoses and carrier elements ensures extremely low dust generation as well as an extended service life: Users can benefit from a long service life of over 10 million cycles.
The Cleanveyor is certified to ISO cleanroom class 1 and therefore the ideal product for use in production and testing facilities for semiconductors, LEDs and OLEDs. But it is also a good choice for production systems in the medical and pharmaceutical industries. The wide temperature range from -10 °C to +80 °C additionally expands the area of application. The Cleanveyor is suitable for applications with travel lengths of up to three meters and speeds of up to two meters per second.
Special carrier elements are the ‘backbone’ of the solution. These were developed based on the know-how of Kabelschlepp Metool in the field of hose and cable carrier systems. As the chain-based mechanism only bends in one direction in the defined bending radius, it remains reliably on the track. This supports the stable motion of the system, is gentle on the cables and also minimises noise generation using a low-vibration process – with a noise level of less than 38 dB(A), this is a particularly quiet solution.
