Being able to pull on a vast range of flexible coupling designs such as the one-piece helical beam flexible shaft coupling that delivers effortless zero backlash torque transmission is reliably used in servomotor or closed loop feedback applications. More arduous shaft coupling designs such as the, TB Wood’s Sure-Flex® elastomeric coupling or Form-Flex® can be supplied, whereas the Miki Pulley range of couplings open up a plethora of capabilities for shaft connection and intelligent clutch and brake designs. Lastly ABSSAC offers a range of innovative universal joint designs.
Other truly innovative products include machined springs, where a helical beam coil spring form is machined from a solid piece of material, which then exhibits unmatched and predicted levels of spring load accuracy.
Uniquely, the ETP range of hydraulic locking hubs also add a new dimension to hub shaft connection. Consisting of a double-walled hardened steel (in some cases stainless steel) sleeve, filled with a pressure medium. Within the product flange there are one or more screws that are used to pressurize an internal piston. When the pressure screw is tightened an even and moderately high surface pressure is created against the shaft and hub, causing the locking effect. ABSSAC supplies a unique range of precision edge welded bellows, which are primarily used in volumetric applications offering responsive design, wide material selection, and leak-tight performance. Metal bellows provide an all-metal pressure barrier and seal that flexes in one or more direction. Edge welded metal bellows provide the most flex in the smallest amount of space of any bellows technology on the market.
