The UK's annual gathering for the engineering and manufacturing sectors, Advanced Engineering is strengthening its position as the UK's leading event for the composites industry, with continued backing from Composites UK.

This partnership, along with others, ensures that the event stays at the forefront of innovation, offering fresh updates and exciting new features for greater value to attendees.

Composites UK is ramping up its involvement in 2025 to make this year's show the most influential yet. With a reimagined Composites Forum, curated entirely by Composites UK, attendees can expect two full days of insights on sustainability, material circularity and new product development, all aimed at strengthening the sector.

"Composites UK's partnership with Advanced Engineering is essential as it highlights the transformative potential of composite materials, fosters industry innovation and creates valuable business connections that contribute to the growth and development of the composite manufacturing sector," said Dr Sue Halliwell, operations manager at Composites UK.

The Composites Networking Forum, sponsored by PRF Composites will be a big highlight. This space has undergone a complete revamp for 2025, featuring live manufacturing line demos and interactive technology. Visitors will have the chance to see cutting-edge equipment in action, with demonstrations of the latest innovations.

One of those demonstrations includes PRF's prepreg system, offering a rapid 4-minute processing time with the RP570 heated press. That's alongside the fire-retardant RP570 FR, which completes in just five minutes, and the innovative RP570 FR paired with their recycled carbon prepreg nonwoven mat (REEPREG).

"The PRF Composite Materials team have exciting plans for new product launches and developments for this year, including opening our new Product Development and Innovation centre," added Hannah Khusainova, marketing director at PRF Composite Materials. "We are very much looking forward to sharing these developments with the community in the build up to and at Advanced Engineering this year."

Composites UK is again co-locating its Industry Awards Dinner. This will take place on the evening of 29 October at the neighbouring National Motorcycle Museum, coinciding with the opening day of Advanced Engineering.

The event will also introduce the Composites Village, a new area dedicated to showcasing startups and smaller businesses in the composites sector. This exciting addition will give emerging companies the chance to gain visibility and connect with key players in the industry.

Live demos are continuing too, and at this year's show Alan Harper Composites will be running several hands-on sessions that give attendees a closer look at the techniques and materials changing industry.

"Composites UK's expertise is helping us craft a programme that really elevates the composites content this year," explained Simon Farnfield, event director at Easyfairs, the organiser of Advanced Engineering. "This partnership along with the changes made to the show floor strengthens the show's role as the go-to event for the entire supply chain."
