EMS to showcase FAULHABER motion solutions at the Hamlyn Symposium

Electro Mechanical Systems (EMS) will be exhibiting at the Hamlyn Symposium on Medical Robotics on June 25 to 26 at The Royal Geographical Society in London. At the event, EMS will showcase a range of reliable, highly precise motion solutions from FAULHABER for the medical technology industry, including a selection of brushless servomotors, motion controllers and linear actuation systems.

This year's Hamlyn Symposium on Medical Robotics, now in its 17th edition, is themed "Back to the Future: Telesurgery in 2025". The event will bring together a global community of engineers, surgeons, scientists and medtech innovators to explore the latest advancements in medical robotics.

As the exclusive distributor of FAULHABER products in the UK and Ireland, EMS will showcase its range of advanced drive technologies and demonstrate its ongoing commitment to powering the next generation of surgical robotics and medical devices through precision motion control.

Among the showcased technologies is FAULHABER's BHx series of servomotors. With their compact, 2-pole brushless design, these motors offer a powerful combination of high-speed operation and smooth control, while maintaining low inertia.

Designed for applications that require sensitivity and accuracy, such as robotic-assisted surgery and in other high-performance medical devices, the BHx series delivers consistent performance with minimal vibration and noise. Their high efficiency reduces heat production, making them ideal for thermally susceptible situations within medical applications.

Additionally, EMS will present a variety of FAULHABER new drive electronics including the MC3603 motion controller, a dynamic and compact positioning system designed for seamless integration into space-constrained systems. Adaptable through FAULHABER Motion Manager, the MC3603 is able to supply voltages up to 36 Volts (V), a maximum continuous output current of 3 Amps (A) and a peak output current of to 9 (A).

"We're seeing a real shift in how robotics are shaping the future of surgery and medical treatment," explained Dave Walsha, Sales and Marketing Director at EMS. "Precision and reliability are non-negotiable in these applications, and the FAULHABER range allows us to meet these challenges with motion solutions that deliver performance in the most demanding environments."
