Ensuring greater safety in production processes
Black and yellow hatching is a striking feature that makes the new Warning and Protective Profile D30 R28-90° from the Item Lean Production Building Kit System impossible to miss. The profile offers maximum protection for people, frames and transported goods at exposed areas and in hazardous zones.
It is simply clipped onto the flank of a Profile Tube D30 in a matter of just seconds, making it also ideal for temporary use on profiles, as it is easy to install and quick to remove. The elastic chamber of the new Warning and Protective Profile deforms to absorb impacts, thus offering optimum protection for staff and materials alike.
Warning and Protective Profile D30 R28-90° provides all-round protection for all Item D30 profiles with the familiar flank geometry. The new profile from the Lean Production Building Kit System encompasses a quarter of the Profile Tube, leaving the rest of the Profile Tube accessible. If required, a D30 profile can also be completely covered on all sides. The striking markings draw attention to hazards in production and other work areas, thus providing an additional safety feature that helps prevent injuries among employees.
The new safety component from Item is also suitable as impact and scratch protection for all kinds of transported goods and protects frames and individual profiles, too. In the event of an impact, the chamber of the Warning and Protective Profile deforms only momentarily, as the material is elastic. This means any deformation caused by forces is not permanent.
The impact protection, with its black and yellow hatching, is also suitable as a temporary means of marking out profiles and structure. As it is simply clipped onto the flank of a Profile Tube D30 and can be removed without leaving a trace, Warning and Protective Profile D30 R28-90° can be fitted after replacing Profile Tubes or making other changes to a frame.
Easy clamping
Also new from Item is the Clamp Lever Pi – the perfect solution for fixing in place machine parts in no time, and then releasing them again just as fast. This new addition to the design award-winning range of Item operating elements plays an important part in improving the way fastening elements such as slide guides and angle locking brackets are used.
Clamp Lever Pi comes in diverse designs with grips in various sizes and female or male threads in different lengths. item has launched Adapter M45 too – a new accessory in the MB Building Kit System that enables users to install control circuit devices without having to use any tools.
It doesn’t take much effort to actuate Clamp Lever Pi. What’s more, the grip and insert can be easily separated at the touch of a button, allowing users to position the grip however they wish, as they would a socket wrench – and thanks to this release mechanism, the lever is ideal for use in tight spaces, too.
As is the case for all the other Pi elements from Item, which have earned the German Design Award Gold, Clamp Lever Pi has been created with ergonomics in mind and boasts a grip-friendly shape and a high-quality design. The red colouring of the pushbutton and cap makes them stand out visually from the rest of the element.
