Equipment for use in hazardous areas
JBJ Techniques has a long established reputation as a quality supplier of bellhousings and shaft couplings for hydraulic pump drives, and now it has added to these ranges with products certified in accordance with the ATEX directive 94/9/EC. The GGR cast iron bellhousings and JXL anti-static couplings have been designed by skilled British engineers specifically for use in hazardous areas.
>The bellhousings are supplied as a one-piece component, with final machining and the fitting of flange options carried out at JBJ's premises. Rugged and reliable, the bellhousings have been subjected to 20-Joule impact tests with no damage noted. If required, a steel flange can be bolted to the pump mounting face to facilitate the fitment of larger pumps.
>The JXL range of resilient couplings is able to accept angular, radial and axial misalignment. They are torsionally resilient, non-lubricating and capable of operating at temperatures from -50degC to +105degC. The elements are flame resistant, anti-static and have NCB acceptance for use underground in coalmines. If required, housings can be supplied with full chemical analysis and test bars.
