Handle eases hot-swapping of boards
Schroff has introduced a new hot-swap-capable handle for the insertion and withdrawal of AdvancedTCA carriers and MicroTCA mid-size modules. Featuring a rugged die-cast metal construction, the IEA handle can be used with stainless-steel or aluminium front panels.
The AdvancedTCA specification defines two positions for the hot-swap microswitch: in the plunger style, the switch is operated from above, while in the lever style it is activated from the front. The new handle is therefore available in two versions to allow for the correct activation of the switch in both of these positions.
