Improved output for distance measurement
The new Dimetix D-Series laser sensor from Sensors UK offers users a solution for accurate and fast measurements of distances for factory automation, warehousing and positioning applications. The range of lasers now offers an output rate of 1kHz with a ±0.15mm repeatability on natural surfaces to a range of 100 metres, while this can be extended to 500 meters with the use of a target plate.
Further advances for the latest Dimetix D-Series lasers include reduced power requirements, more compact size and new interfaces including USB and choice of Industrial Ethernet (Profinet, Ethernet/IP and EtherCAT). Of course all the standard features are still included such as extended working temperatures and fully programmable outputs, while the 100% product testing ensures reliable and precise Swiss engineering with traceability.
The D-Series laser distance sensors are at the forefront of the Dimetix programme of continuous development and innovation. They measure long distances with the highest precision reliable and speed, even in the most difficult situations. The D-Series can measure on dark surfaces – even in exterior applications with solar irradiation. Other features include a digital input, high precision analogue output, two programmable digital outputs, and a digital output for error signal. The solid metal case provides IP65 protection, and the sensors are suitable for use in an extended temperature range from –40°C to +60°C.
