Laser distance sensing at under £2000
Sensors UK says the Dimetix D-Series lasers have market leading repeatability and reliability with a measurement range spanning 0.5m to 500m and maximum outputs rate of 1kHz. They are versatile performers in a wide range of applications where there is a need to measure the distance to objects that are static or moving in the line of sight of the sensor. The sensors have an extensive range of applications from position control and collision prevention of cranes, non-contact measurement in steel processing, to management of vehicles in freight yards or traffic lanes. The sensors can be factory-fitted by machine builders or easily mounted on buildings and plant.
There are five models, which are all 100% tested to choose from to suit your application and budget with accuracy from just ±0.5mm and repeatability of ±0.15mm over the entire 500m range. They can measure on any natural surface without the need for a reflector plate to distances of 100m. The units are all IP65 rated and have working temperature ranges of -40 to +60°C.
