Leuze establishes new division focused on safety
Leuze is further increasing its focus safety in its business activities with the launch of a dedicated division. The goal is to ensure the success of customers in an industry that is ever evolving. Dr Albrecht von Pfeil, director of the safety sensors and solutions business area at Leuze, says: “Safety is increasingly becoming a focal point for us.”
Leuze has always been a forerunner in the area of safety at work through trend-setting innovations, such as the development of the very first protective sensor. Having started as a manufacturer and developer of safety sensors, Leuze has further developed significantly in recent years. Today, the product range includes safety sensors, safety services and safety solutions. This knowhow is packaged together in the newly created safety division. For its customers, Leuze says it is thus a reliable partner for efficient safety sensor solutions for the entire life cycle of their machines and systems.
Over the course of several decades, Leuze has acquired extensive safety expertise and today has in-depth knowledge of standards as well as a great deal of practical experience in the use of safety-related applications. Both form the basis of the Leuze safety solutions. At the heart of every safety solution are the safety concepts qualified by Leuze, whose safety consultants assess the requirements for each individual safety solution and tailor them to the respective system layout. That includes following projects all the way through to the safety-related approval of the safety solution on-site.
The decision to increase focus on the area of safety is underlined by a new motto, Safety at Leuze. “The new safety motto stands for an ideally matched product portfolio, extensive experience in safety consulting, in engineering and design of safety solutions as well as the broad range of safety services. All of this for various aspects of different types of machines and systems,” explains Dr von Pfeil.
