Lightweight slide for loads up to 300kg
A new range of lightweight, heavy duty telescopic slides deliver a huge 300kg load rating at a full 100% extension. Available in 12 lengths from 300 to 1000mm, with profiles milled from solid aluminium (AW6082), this latest new product development not only offers a substantial load rating but also key benefits normally associated with aluminium such as significant weight saving and effective corrosion resistance.
Manufactured by Accuride, the new DA4160 slides have been developed within its own UK based engineering design centre and are now available 'off-the-shelf' as standard stock items from Midlands based distributor Albert Jagger. Combining compact design, heavy load capabilities and effective use of corrosion resistant materials, this 100% extension slide is ideal for many industries and applications requiring effective movement solutions where full access is needed.
Accuride's heavy duty slides are designed to deliver sustained and reliable performance, with all slides undergoing stringent tests, including dynamic cycle testing, static overload and slam tests. The load rating is based on slides mounted 600mm apart, although these slides are suitable for wider applications after further consultation .
End stops have been tested to 10 cycles, with the nominated loads, at 0.8m/s. Due to the heavy loads and types of applications that this slide has been designed for, it is recommend that the slide is thoroughly tested in the intended application and additional end stops are fitted for safety reasons. It is also recommended that quality grease, rated for extreme pressure, is re-applied at 2000 cycle intervals.
