For almost 60 years, Wallwork Group has been helping advanced and precision engineers with their thermal processing and hard coating requirements.
The company was founded as Wallwork Heat Treatment in 1959. Expansion has included the setting up of Wallwork Cast Alloys in 1986, Wallwork Heat Treatment (Birmingham) in 1989, the acquisition Wallwork Cambridge in 1997 and the acquisiton of Wallwork Newcastle in 2017.
The Group employs approximately 300 people offering a comprehensive heat treatment and hard coating service to the manufacturing industry. Sites are open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and operate a fleet of 40+ commercial vehicles offering a reliable transport service in most areas during the week.
In recent years the group has invested extensively in new equipment and training in order to offer a high quality, competitive service to the aerospace, motorsport and medical industries.
The Cambridge site operates to ISO9000 and BS EN 9100 Rev C aerospace quality standards and currently holds Nadcap approval for coatings, heat treatment, vacuum brazing and plasma nitriding. Wallwork Cambridge can also design, build and service a range of specialist vacuum equipment for customers world-wide, with high tech plant installed and working in more than 20 countries. Wallwork Cambridge has a large and well equipped R&D department and laboratory dedicated to the development of advanced surface engineering processes, novel applications and new process equipment. This is there to help customers with specific issues they need solving. We also have strong links to a number of research and teaching organisations.
Wallwork Cambridge employs specialists in all our departments to assist in supporting our customers at the early stage of product and process design. This will help to avoid problems that can exist between combining the processes. With advice always available and supportive specialists we encourage customers to involve us at the design stage. We pride ourselves on our ability to help the customer at all or any stages of the product.
Wallwork Cambridge operates a reliable collection and delivery service which, together with other Group sites in Manchester and Birmingham, cover most areas of the UK. We can ensure the logistic elements of the service are catered for whatever your needs.
