Mobile masts rely on Abssac power screws
Abssac has recently won a contract to supply trapezoidal lead screws from its Power Screw range for a mobile telecommunications application. Speedy delivery, low cost and effective product knowledge won the day. The application uses a 40mm diameter by 7mm pitch screw, in a low carbon steel, which allowed the welding of the material to suit the application.
Power leadscrews are an excellent and reliable way of converting rotary motion into a linear motion. Application criteria such as speed, load and the accuracy of position all have a direct effect on the form and physical size of the lead screw and nut design. The Power Screw lead screws primarily use a trapezoidal thread form that delivers high performance and repeatability. Stocking up to 3m lengths of lead screw in diameters of 12mm, 16mm, 20mm, 22mm, 24mm, 30mm, 36mm, 40mm and 50mm in both right and left handed formats.
