NEC hosts the UK"s largest advanced engineering gathering

Registration has opened for the UK’s largest annual advanced engineering gathering. Now in its tenth year, Advanced Engineering has dedicated zones for the UK’s key high value industries. It is also offering the first 50 people signing up a free ultra high capacity power bank for mobile phones and laptops to be picked up at the show.

Last year the show attracted some of the industry’s biggest names including Airbus, Boeing, Jaguar Land Rover, Hexcel and Dassault Systèmes, who met and did business across the supply chain, with visitors from a range of engineering specialisms. 2017 also saw the show increasing attendees by 15% over the previous year. Visitors stayed on average just under three hours, many looking for new products and services.

This year will be bigger and better with the launch of a new co-located show, Nuclear Engineering, the expansion of the Connected Manufacturing show zone, a dedicated area for UK subcontractors, and AE Connect – a platform enabling visitors and exhibitors to pre-arrange meetings. Visitors will see cutting-edge innovations from over 650 exhibitors and some of the industry’s biggest names across the advanced engineering landscape including also oil and gas, rail, marine, motorsport and healthcare.

Coupled with more than 200 presentations and case studies, the show is filled with experts in technical and business improvement, highlighting best practice and the secrets behind what is driving the industry forward. It also presents the chance to meet and do business across the supply chain from a range of engineering specialisms including: automation, design and test engineering, process control, machining and many more.

The exhibition will be held in halls 2, 3 and 3A at the NEC, with two entrances to the show, making navigation of the huge exhibition space easier. There will be a range of expert speakers, including Sameer Savani, head of innovation and engineering at ADS Group. The two-day open conference is accredited by the CPD Accreditation Service ‘Contin-uing Professional Development (CPD)’.
