New control and monitoring devices from norelem
Control and monitoring devices are indispensable human-machine interfaces in mechanised and automated production environments. They interact to ensure the effective control and monitoring of processes. To supplement norelem's existing assortment of Emergency Stop switches, a large selection of new control and monitoring devices is now available.
Control devices are used to set up, start and end processes - in emergency situations, they can stop entire applications by pressing a single button. Monitoring devices display the operating condition of a machine or system and indicate changes and faults, for example with coloured light signals. By convention, the colour green indicates fault-free operation, while red stands for a failure, fault or standstill.
Robust and compact design combined with intuitive operation
Typically, the actuator and contact block constitute a functional unit in control and monitoring devices. This makes them very compact, allowing the assembly of complex, densely populated control panels. Buttons, switches and indicator lights from norelem are designed for mounting holes with a diameter of 22.3 mm.
Other features of the new control and monitoring devices include intuitive operation and a high-quality, robust design. They retain their full functionality even in harsh conditions. Each individual component has the relevant international certifications and is available with the IP65 rating as a standard feature (as part of the device upstream of the control panel). Special versions have the IP67 rating. The contacts are made of solid hard silver and all illuminated control and monitoring devices are equipped with state-of-the-art LED technology.
Broad selection for flexibility in diverse applications
Users can choose from different versions, including push-buttons (standard, tactile, and illuminated), dual push-buttons, and selection switches (momentary, latching, and key-operated switches). Individual labelling with standard symbols and texts for insertion in the push-buttons and indicator lights expand the range of application and enable custom configurations. norelem offers surface-mounted plastic housings with suitable mounting holes for their control and monitoring devices.
