OSSD safety switches from Mechan Controls

The O-Type range from Mechan Controls combines over 50 years of design experience with the latest in machine guard safety technology. Perfect for applications where guard-locking is not required, these switches deliver long life, high reliability, and advanced diagnostics.

All pre-wired OSSD switches have a 2A capability, therefore would not need to go to a safety relay and can go straight to a contactor. Features include:

Uniquely coded RFID (yellow) or coded magnetic (black)
OSSD dual-channel outputs - reach CAT4, SIL3, PL-e
Connect up to 30 switches in series while maintaining full PL-e
IP67 and IP69K protection - fully sealed for washdown and harsh environments
No mechanical parts - ideal for high-cycle, tough conditions
External Device Monitoring (EDM) - monitor safety relays or contactors
316 Stainless steel versions available in OHE1, OHE2 and OSSG with IP69K protection
