Panduit PatchRunner 2 Enhanced provides 45% more capacity for higher density cabling
Panduit EMEA, the physical infrastructure and connectivity company, has launched its PatchRunner2 Enhanced Vertical Cable Manager. Ideal for high density cabling environments, the depth of the cable manager combined with integral Zero RU patching within the vertical channel saves almost half the space of a traditional cable management system.
As a result, there is a reduction in square meterage that leads to cost savings for the overall network infrastructure. The new design provides an extra deep 681mm [26.8”] manager enabling high management capacity for the latest high-performance switches and Cat 6A cable, while its EIA compliant rack spacing allows for standard 19” accessories. When used with Panduit connectivity, patch cords, and racks, the user receives a complete cable management solution that maximises density while minimising the area required for their network.
Integral to the expanded capacity and ease-of-use is the horizonal cable organiser, its convenient access through best-in-class magnetic latching cover, offers secure top and bottom opening. The new design incorporates robust inset fingers with large cable bend radius and cable retainers on finger ends for easier access and cable security. The horizontal organiser is manufactured in strong, lightweight ABS and is available in 2, 3 and 4RU and offers larger spacing between fingers to maximise airflow and accessibility through the cabinet.
Consistent cable bend radius is maintained through the finger design support for cables as they transition from horizontal to the vertical pathway. Integral zero RU vertical mounting capability enables optional installation of patch panels, small active equipment, PDU’s and a range of accessories directly onto the backbone of the unit – This capability provides RU space within the rack.
The PatchRunner 2 is shipped with ‘push to close’ doors for ease of operation and is available in two standard colour options. Produced from premium materials the PatchRunner 2 provides a robust framework for structured cabling, maximising cable lifespan and minimising unexpected maintenance requirements.
This latest solution expands Panduit’s range of energy and light efficient white containment products and delivers a comprehensive cable architecture that regulates network equipment access, optimises physical space and enables easy cable maintenance.
