Parker distributor BSP Hydraulics expands into marine sector

BSP Hydraulics, based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, has been supporting its customers in the truck and mobile sector with hydraulic products and services since 1992. Following a successful partnership with Parker, as UK distributor for Gresen and Apitech products, BSP recently increased its involvement with the global leader in motion and control technologies to increase the level of service it could provide. This put BSP in a strong position to acquire ARS Anglian Diesels and move into the marine market.

Doug Conyers, BSP Hydraulics' Managing Director, commented, "Just about everyone in the boating industry knows of Anglian and its hydraulic transmission systems. The acquisition of such a respected and popular brand was an ideal opportunity for us to expand into the marine sector. Our partnership with Parker means we can now bring the latest hydraulics technologies to a wider range of customers, as part of our continued growth strategy in the UK."

ARS Anglian Diesels, already a Parker distributor, will still trade under its original name, and its two previous directors will be retained as consultants to ensure Anglian customers can continue to benefit from years of specialist knowledge. A new sales director, Garry Wilson, has also been appointed to develop the ARS Anglian Diesels business.
