Procter updates white paper about ISO 14120 standard for machine guards
Procter Machine Safety has released the third edition of its popular white paper on ISO 14120, the international standard for the design and manufacture of machine guards. Available as a free download, the updated guide will benefit designers, specifiers, production engineers, maintenance professionals, and health and safety managers.
ISO 14120 (and BS EN ISO 14120 in the UK) replaced EN 953 (BS EN 953) in 2016. However, many engineers remain more familiar with the older standard. Procter's white paper outlines the key differences and explains the implications for machine builders and users, helping ensure compliance with current legislation.
The third edition brings the content fully up to date, including references to UKCA marking, designated standards, and updated contact details. It also features a refreshed layout and revised text for improved clarity and ease of use.
