All new Bürkert website provides cool tools, easy navigation and an eShop

Visitors to will notice a big change in the look and feel of the company's web presence thanks to the launch of a brand new website and web support platform. Known in the market for forward thinking solutions and investment in technology, it will come as no surprise that the company has opted for an ultra-modern new website which incorporates all the latest dynamic page content structures, flexible interactive navigation and useful online tools.

Designed to make visits to the site faster and more productive, the new UK website follows a platform change which has been rolled-out globally which takes the emphasis away from a list catalogue style view on the company to a more function orientated experience.

Since the company offers over 17,000 products and over 100,000 line items, alongside a very strong bespoke solutions and systems business, it is essential that visitors can quickly identify the areas of the business they want more information on. Hence the use of new sections, more icons and integrated search functions for individual product groups.

More scrolling page content helps to keep important tools and general data to hand while maximising screen real-estate, regardless of the viewing platform or device being used. Increased mobile use for internet browsing also meant that a site optimised for mobile use was essential moving forwards.

New cool tools include a fluidics calculator and a resistance table to help select the right product. Both offer the user the opportunity to apply available data and fine tune the selection process by providing precise cross-reference figures and a detailed guide to choosing the optimum valve seat and body materials, based on the gas or fluid medium which is being controlled.

Any account customer (with an SAP account code), can also login to an exclusive eShop designed to give existing customers easier access to online ordering, order status and stock enquiries 24/7, this includes all of Bürkert's direct OEM customers, distribution partners, account holding system integrators and end-users. Orders can still be made using the more traditional methods, but the eShop is there for any customers looking for the added speed and convenience it can bring.
