Bidirectional radio-controlled safety module
The new radio-controlled Safemaster W series UH 6900 from Dold offers safety-oriented bidirectional transmission of E-stop and control functions plus, increased flexibility for safeguarding hazardous areas. By implementing the latest radio technologies and a high degree of signal availability, a compact reliable safety system has been achieved. This enables two safety zones to be easily connected wirelessly to each other over a considerable distance.
Winner of the 2018 GIT Security Award for safe automation, the TÜV-Safety certified system for applications reaching up to PLe/Cat 4 or SIL 3 is characterised by its long working range of 800m plus and the easy to use free windows based software, offering extensive diagnostics, signal quality monitoring and remote system set up. Typical applications are large ranging facilities in the logistics sector and mobile applications such as automatic guided transport vehicles, autonomous transport systems and hard to wire to applications in the quarrying and mining industry. The original bidirectional system has now been complemented by a one-transmitter-to-many-receivers option, which is well suited to the safety control demands of automated guided vehicles. Further applications include the implementation of safety systems on spatially separated industrial machinery.
The safety modules each have three two-channel safety inputs and one safety output with three contact paths for implementing safety functions such as emergency stop, safety door, LC or two-hand. Moreover the devices each provide eight inputs and outputs for user-specific control functions. Two additional status semi-conductor outputs as well as one indicator output for reception quality provide for easy diagnosis.
Fast setup is ensured via free Windows compatible software, with connection to the UH 6900 over USB.
