Compact gas springs range

Compact gas springs range Industrial Gas Springs (IGS) has extended its customline product range to include Size 3 units for low to medium force applications requiring up to 100N performance. Developed to provide high operational repeatability at loads as low as 10N, compact Size 3 IGS springs feature 10mm diameter steel bodies and 3mm diameter operating rods. They are available with strokes from 30mm to 90mm and are offered with M3 threaded or metal eye mounting options as standard. The new units are ideally suited for electronic equipment or medical apparatus closure applications and can be supplied with high degrees of damping to achieve almost silent operation. In addition, with a ‘k’ factor of as little as 1.13, IGS Size 3 gas springs provide a virtually constant force throughout their entire stroke range. Like other IGS units, the new models are suitable for operating temperatures from -30degC to +70degC. They also feature zerovalent chrome plated operating rods, which minimise molecular gas losses and ensure highly consistent gas spring performance over an extended service life, while also providing full compliance to RoHS directives.
