Drives cater for all applications

Drives cater for all applications The new Digidrive SK range from Leroy Somer takes all the functionality and user-friendly concepts offered by the company's highly successful SF range, enhances them and expands them. In doing so, the company says it has created a new benchmark in this highly competitive sector. Even with all the user-friendly features still there, the units are more competitively priced than their predecessors. In addition, their 'bookcase' style design allows better side-by-side mounting within control cabinets and their smaller frame size mean that applications with 'real estate' issues can now make more effective use of the space on offer. The Digidrive SK offers three frame sizes with additional sizes on the horizon for higher power applications. At 200-240V, the A, B and C frame sized units offer 0.25-0.75kW, 1.1-1.5kW and 2.2kW respectively, while at 380-480V the B and C units offer 0.37-1.5kW and 2.2-4.0kW respectively. Installing, configuring and running the Digidrive SK is a simple three-step matter. Step one: fit the unit to the cabinet using a DIN rail or screw mount. Step two: connect the unit using its simple push-in connectors. Step three: start the unit using the default optimised factory configuration.
