Enclosures deliver maximum versatility and cost saving
Schneider Electric has introduced a new range of floor-standing enclosures designed to offer a combination of space saving, flexibility and ease of installation. The Spacial SF/SM range offers an innovative design which helps reduce the time and cost of putting together a solution.

A key feature of the new design is its inset door that reduces the footprint of each enclosure offering significant space savings. Enclosures can be coupled in any direction, which enables multiple configurations, with integrated panels optimising available space. With just eight captive screws per panel, installation time is minimised and doors and panels can be mounted by one person.

The Spacial SM is available in 45 different sizes and the body comprises only two parts; a body and a welded back, which is unique in the marketplace. This strong body construction is able to withstand admissible loads up to 600kg. The Spacial SF products are available in 65 sizes, which benefit from a profile with the highest inertia on the market and a framework that admits loads up to 1,000kg. The Spacial SF range also benefits from an additional kit which enables the creation of more than 600 configurations.

Adrian Walker of Schneider Electric explains: "We have taken feedback from the market in developing the Spacial range to achieve maximum versatility and cost saving. We believe these floor standing enclosures offer the most practical and user-friendly solution on the market today."

Walker continues: "As part of the Spacial range we also offer electronic support tools enabling standard enclosures to be configured to suit the installed devices in any application, which saves time in the selection process. This is backed up by a service offering that includes new stock management systems with
UK-wide free delivery from our Telford site to facilitate fast and efficient distribution."

With a robust design based on a new profile that forms the framework, the enclosures are offered as standard in RAL7035. A range of sizes and versions is available with complementary accessories designed for quick and easy cabling. All products meet IP55 regulations, as well as having been independently tested in accordance with the new IEC 62208 standard.
