Ensenso XR 3D cameras built for speed
Ensenso XR is the first 3D stereo camera offered by IDS to feature onboard data processing for calculating 3D point clouds and transferring them via Ethernet or WiFi to a PC for further analysis. Faster data processing and lower demands for bandwidth and PC processing, make these devices highly useful in many applications.
The reduced load on connected PCs makes the Ensenso XR ideally suited for multi-camera systems. 3D point clouds can be calculated about twice as fast as those of the Ensenso X series, depending on the parameterization. Bin picking applications requiring the fastest possible clock rate, for example, benefit from this higher speed. An added benefit is that if data is transmitted via Wifi, only one cable (power supply) needs to be connected to the camera.
The new Ensenso XR complements the stereo vision cameras of the existing Ensenso N and X series. The new camera family inherits the modular concept and precise detail capture of the Ensenso X-Series, offering a choice of cameras while providing new scope for the fast capture of 3D point clouds.
