Cognex Corporation has announced the new DataMan 100V verifiers. Code quality is critical to achieving the read rates required for successful part traceability. DataMan 100V verifiers check the quality of Data Matrix codes to ensure only well marked parts enter the manufacturing and supply chains.

A growing number of companies across the automotive, aerospace, packaging, electronics, healthcare and defense industries need verification to comply with contracts that require marks meet a certain level of quality. Others use verification for process control at the marking station to ensure the highest possible read rates and minimise scrap and downtime in their manufacturing process. "DataMan 100V sets a new price and performance standard for fixed-mount verifiers," says Carl Gerst of Cognex. "They are easy to use and include automatic report generation that's perfect for MIL-STD compliance applications."

The DataMan 100V measures label and direct part mark quality to all industry standards, including the Association for Automated Identification and Mobility (AIM) Direct Part Mark (DPM) Quality Guideline, which ensures consistent results across different verification platforms, manufacturing environments and industries as well as ISO15415 and AS9132.
