Improve your skills and knowledge on rolling bearings and condition monitoring

Improve your skills and knowledge on rolling bearings and condition monitoring Schaeffler UK has released its new technical training course programme for 2014. Courses offered include one, two and three-day training for managers, engineers and technicians involved in the selection, operation and maintenance of rolling bearings, as well as condition monitoring, vibration analysis, bearing failure analysis and mounting of rolling bearings.

Training is delivered by qualified Schaeffler engineers with many years' experience in the design, application and operation of rolling element bearings. Schaeffler specialists in vibration analysis and condition monitoring also provide support and share their technical expertise with course delegates.

Training courses are held either at Schaeffler UK's Sutton Coldfield training centre or on-site at the customer and can be tailored to meet their individual requirements. The centre is equipped to provide both classroom-based and practical hands-on training for customers from every industry sector and at all skills levels, from maintenance fitters to designers of complex rotating equipment.

Dr Steve Lacey, Engineering Manager at Schaeffler UK commented: "Our rolling bearing technology training courses are carefully structured to ensure that we provide delegates with the maximum support possible during the initial design process through to the successful operation and monitoring of their plant and equipment. In industries where the loss of critical plant or equipment can result in costly lost production or downtime, an understanding of condition monitoring tools and techniques can help to minimise disruption and reduce costs."

"Customer feedback in 2013 was very positive with course delegates coming from a variety of industry sectors, including rail, mineral processing, machine tools, hydraulics, power generation, industrial gearboxes, agricultural machinery, as well as universities," he added.

Schaeffler UK offers a broad mix of training courses at basic and advanced levels to suit all delegates' skill levels. Courses include: rolling bearing technology levels 1 and 2; rolling bearing lubrication; rolling bearing failure analysis; rolling bearing mounting; bearings for electric motors; condition monitoring introduction; vibration analysis (Levels 1 and 2); and FAG Detector III (Schaeffler's handheld vibration monitoring device).
