Inkoma LFK Lineflex couplings from Francis and Francis

This 'pivoting' link-pairs (each at 90°) coupling (interchangeable with the SEMIFLEX), compensates for all forms of shaft misalignment. It is a torsionally-stiff, true constant velocity, precision shaft connector.

It accommodates 'bedding down', assembly, manufacturing tolerance, wear and specific operation alignment limitations. Angular velocity of connected shafts remains totally synchronised irrespective of misalignment and no restoring reaction forces are induced to load the support bearings.

There are 'short' length (...'K'), 'high torque' (.../4), or pre-loaded bearing versions and even quill shafts can pass through the middle of the coupling.

Applications include: printing, packaging and mechanical handling machines, testing units and machine tools. Shaft connections are via flange as standard, or bossed end discs.

The range accommodates offsets and torques between '0' (in-line) to ±2mm; TKN=37Nm (Datum); for the smallest, up to '0' (in-line) to ±13mm; TKN=28,350Nm (Datum), for the largest.
