Installation tool for self tapping insert
To enable hand installation of its Trisert and Trisert-3 self tapping inserts in thread sizes from M2 to M10, the Tappex Hand Tool Assembly has a range of features to assist the operator in quick and consistent installation.
Used in conjunction with the company's recommended hole designs for the customer's grade of plastic or metal alloys, and cutting fluid where required, this tool will help to maximise the performance of the insert in a given application. The alignment bush is not hardened and may be removed or machined to allow its use in mould corners or where access is restricted.
The hand installation tool features an extended nose to help where access is restricted, and the nose is designed to install the insert to the correct depth. The tool provides a metric hexagon drive for use with socket drive tools. It may also be used with a tap wrench. Installation is centred to aid alignment with a pillar drill or mill.
