Joints are wear and corrosion resistant
The service life of mechanical components can decrease rapidly under aggressive ambient conditions. This is also true of angle joints/ball joints, ball studs and housings/ball sockets. These important linking elements used in many fields are open to attacks from external sources, and are also exposed to the tensile, compressive, folding and shear forces generated by the application.

In order to extend the service life, the angle joints, ball joints, ball studs, housings, ball sockets from MBO Osswald are now even better adapted to the installation environment, since they are now available in a new variant of stainless austenitic chrome-nickel-molybdenum steel 1.4404 (316S11, Aisi 316L).

This material has outstanding corrosion-resistance properties in natural environments (urban and rural atmospheres, seawater-resistant) and in industrial applications with moderate chloride and acid concentrations. The food and chemical industries (sulphuric and phosphoric acids, organic acids) also tend to turn to this material, which even after welding is insensitive to intercrystalline corrosion.
