Lenze at the Drives & Controls Exhibition
The Lenze stand at Drives & Controls will feature major new drive products, demonstrations of material handling and robotics, and an opportunity to win valuable prizes. Lenze will bring the new i500 frequency inverters to the UK for the first time, and also announce important extension to its range of geared motors. Demonstrations on the stand include easy programming for robotic drives, time-saving in the commissioning of conveyors and optimised drive selection for energy saving.
Lenze says the i500 frequency inverters bring a new standard to drives in a power range 0.25 to 45kW. The design concept “less is more” results in drives that are economic for simple applications but also modular so that higher functionality can be easily added. Dimensions are particularly compact leading to smaller panel sizes, a factor that is enhanced by the fact that no chokes or filters are needed on the vast majority of applications. The i500 is easy to get up and running: for example setting just three parameters can get the motor turning, so commissioning times are reduced. Furthermore the i500 is future-proofed with full international approvals and high efficiency to energy class IE2.
Also new to the UK is a major extension to the Lenze g500 range of frequency inverters. The current aluminium helical, shaft mounted helical and bevel ranges are all extended with new cast iron models for output torques above 10000Nm. Across the range there is wide flexibility on the specification, with features that used to be special becoming a standard option. For example motors can be IE1, IE2, IE3, inverter optimised or with terminal box inverters.
