Minitec highlights scope of Profile System at Southern Manufacturing
Designers and engineers visiting Southern Manufacturing who aim to use the show to develop ideas for production and test machinery will find plenty of scope in MiniTec's Profile System machine framing range, on display at stand F50.
Profile System is in essence a modular kit of durable aluminium or stainless steel profiles and a comprehensive selection of associated ancillary components for machine and equipment construction. When combined with free of charge online or offline CAD software, or close design support from MiniTec's UK based support centre, cost-efficient design and straightforward build of smart structures is made possible for everything from simple frames to complete motion automated machines. Its wide range of applications includes safety and guard screens, workbenches, special fixtures, display consoles and test stands as well as machine frames for packaging and other production equipment including conveying and parts handling, automated manufacturing and test equipment, and complex automated production plant.
MiniTec will show visitors just how fast and straightforward it is to assemble Profile System with a demonstration of the unique Powerlock fastener system that allows rapid system assembly without costly pre-machining, as is required on competitive systems. Just a turn of an Allen Key is all that is required for fast, straightforward and neat frame construction.
Visitors can also see how MiniTec's iCAD software allows OEMs, machine builders and system integrators to visualise, plan, and cost their own Profile System concepts - either in a standalone program mode that requires no specialist CAD knowledge - or integrated with their own preferred CAD software.
The free of charge iCADassembler software allows clear-cut menu selection with drag & drop handling of profiles, connectors and ancillary components allowing designers to build and assemble elements on-screen and generate parts schedules.
