Omron NX7 – beyond a machine automation controller

Omron NX7 – beyond a machine automation controller

Expanding the range of Sysmac Machine Automation Controllers, Omron has launched the NX7 its flagship controller, further enhancing the capability of the range, providing

cutting-edge solutions for advanced production systems.

The NX7 flagship model offers speed without compromising reliability, and provides the industry’s fastest processing speed thanks to the Intel Core i7 quad-core processor and large memory capacity. Focusing on the future of more sophisticated production environments, Omron developed this integrated controller to provide scalability beyond the framework of previous controllers and PLCs.

The new NX7 controllers offer enhanced performance and functionality, with the possibility to connect up to 256 synchronised motion axes. But more significantly, the two synchronised motion cores give the ability prioritise key elements of the machine control system and run them at cycle times of 125µs. Other enhancements provide connection for up to 512 EtherCAT nodes, and two EtherNet/IP ports provides for intensive Ethernet network traffic.
