On track for better performance and cost When Winkel developed its new Nb rail material for its standard C and I profile range five years ago, the company provided its customers with a bearing and rail system that was 25% higher capacity than its competitors. Now these ranges, available in the UK from HepcoMotion, are able to do even better.  

Thanks to Winkel's continuous development of its material technology, its new NbV rails can now withstand even higher contact pressure between the bearing and the rail, now 30% more. And this gives Winkel bearings higher capacity for static and dynamic loads.

This has design and economic benefits. As a Winkel bearing can carry a higher load when compared size-for-size with other systems, a smaller sized Winkel bearing and rail can often do the job. Not only does this save money, it saves space and weight as well.

HepcoMotion is also able to announce another new development that differentiates Winkel from other systems on the market. Customers requiring stainless steel bearings and rails can now specify them with no minimal order quantity on rail length; it can be supplied ex-stock in any length up to 6m.

Winkel's stainless steel range has also been expanded to include new bearings for high speed applications in corrosive or hygiene-conscious environments.
