Relaunch boosts controls specialist

Ambitious plans for expansion are behind the relaunch of mobile control systems specialist Sensor-Technik UK. Part of Germany's Wiedemann group, the Bedford based company has refashioned itself over the course of the last year with a number of major structural changes.

Since its formation ten years ago Sensor-Technik UK has established itself as one of the UK's leading control integration houses. The relaunch will see closer alignment with the Wiedemann group, with the main focus on CAN-bus integration and sensor distribution. The company will also be moving into more sectors, including OEM applications.

"As well as a new logo and new premises, we are launching new products and new services," says general manager Mark Wood, who was recruited earlier this year. "With our integration services we are a 'one-stop shop' rather than just a component distributor." Sensor-Technik specialises in the integration of electronic control systems in mobile machinery. Application areas centre on the automotive and off-highway sectors.
