Shrink disks smarten up with a rugged design

Rino Industries has announced a newly improved range of shrink disks for its product range. The PSV5001 and PSV5003 have been improved considerably in terms of quality.  They are easily recognisable by their singular design featuring the forged surface on part of the shrink disk outer ring. For most applications, these new shrink disks now allow for much higher margins of error during installation.  Within the usual safety factors, they can be considered pretty much indestructible, the company states. This ruggedness has been achieved through the development of new materials with higher tension capabilities.


Tests have been carried out simulating incorrect installation procedures in order to push the shrink disks to their limits. All the results have confirmed that the new product has a much higher safety record against incorrect installation. To reinforce this, the shrink disks are stamped with a newly developed quality stamp that documents all steps of the quality process, from the forging of the raw material to the finished product. The laser engraved quality stamp is on the shrink disk face for easy recognition.


This quality stamp allows for verification of the complete manufacturing process of every single shrink disk right up to the molten bath process. This ensures a top quality product to the customer every time.
