Spelsberg Pro-Active simplifies ordering for reduced lead times

Spelsberg has developed a new telesales service, Pro-Active, which has been designed to further speed up the ordering process for both new and existing customers. The technical service offers design and specification advice and allows orders to be processed the same day to keep delivery times low.

The Pro-Active telephone service has been designed to allow customers to speak directly with a technically trained sales person when making an order over the phone. Rather than calling the sales hotline to register interest in the product and then waiting for their local Sales Manager to return the call, customers are able to place an order for standard or customised enclosures over the phone, safe in the knowledge that the order will be processed within a few hours.

Amanda Shephard, Pro-Active Manager, comments: “Pro-Active really ups the ante on ‘there and then’ service. Because this is a technical service, customers aren’t just placing orders with telephone operatives. We are able to offer specification and installation advice over the phone and we can even put together designs for customised orders. After the initial phone call the order remains with Pro-Active for processing and through to completion – meaning that the customer retains a single point of contact throughout.”

The Pro-Active sales team now handles all enquiries that are received via the telephone and website. Because the enquiries are sent directly to the Pro-Active team who are in the office all day, orders are processed immediately and often confirmed the same day.

Chris Lloyd, Spelsberg UK Managing Director, adds: “Since we’ve introduced the Pro-Active service we’ve had a lot of positive comments. Our customers appreciate the ease with which they can reach contact us and place an order. Of course, we still have a team of expert sales engineers on the road, so if a customer does call up requesting a site visit we are still more than happy to comply.”
