tesa offers international testing resources for all its customers

tesa offers international testing resources for all its customers tesa UK is reminding all customers that its flagship "tesacohesion" customer care programme includes use of the company's advanced testing facilities in Germany.

"tesacohesion" covers the four 'P's - people, products, processes and performance - and the use of tesa's test laboratories falls squarely into the latter category.  What customers want from an adhesive tape is outstanding performance, consistently and continuously. By making test procedures available to customers, the business can match performance to requirement and, in some cases, even develop a bespoke solution which may include in-line and/or automated tape application.

The laboratory is able to offer a range of standard tests or devise specific trials to meet a new or unusual application. Tests cover such fundamental requirements as peel adhesion, static shear resistance and initial tack which can be offered in combination or permutation with trials that simulate the effects of temperature, humidity and impact. Accelerated weatherometers perform ageing tests which can accurately reproduce climatic cycles, with temperature and humidity variations across broad extremes.

50% of tesa's sales are derived from products developed in the last five years.  It is the same quality of technical expertise which drives the innovation programme that customers have at their disposal in the testing and technical laboratories.

For example in a recent enquiry a tesa product was being used in an application on a ventilation duct; the components in question were powder coated and the customer required a check on the bond strength. tesa was able to carry out a peel adhesion test on the actual substrates together with a dynamic T-block test using aluminium test specimens with the result that product performance was positively signed off.

All customers need to do is consult their usual sales team contact to establish bona fide credentials and discuss the particular technical issue they may be struggling to overcome.  A simple but comprehensive application form is then completed to start the process.
