Torsionally rigid coupling

Continual development by Mayr on its ROBA-DS torsionally rigid coupling series has resulted in a torque increase of approximately 15 percent for the standard ROBA-DS sizes 16-1400, with a similar increase in the impact torque capacity. The new increased values are 190-15,000Nm nominal. In addition to the standard product improvement an additional torque increase of up to 60 percent is available with a newly developed disc pack. The angular misalignment capability per disc pack is reduced slightly from the standard 1deg to 0.7deg which should not affect the majority of applications, but can give the user the option of selecting a dimensionally smaller coupling. With various hub-to-shaft mounting options including external shrink disc, radial clamping hubs and split hubs, together with steel or carbon fibre spacer sleeves, the Mayr ROBA-DS torsionally rigid coupling range is now one of the most comprehensive available.
