Laser Components produces laser optics for use along the entire beam line. This includes protection windows, the last optic to be used before the working area in materials processing applications. They are used to protect the more expensive focusing optics higher up the beam line from splatter during laser cutting, welding and engraving.
Protection windows are usually available inexpensively, as they have less demand on specifications such as surface figure and roughness than other optics. They are generally made from a BK7, fused silica or quartz glass substrate, and are AR coated. As with all Laser Components’ optics, protection windows may be customised for your application.
