Eldon has introduced an all-new range of charging stations for electric vehicles. They use a sheet-metal enclosure that is oxylane-treated with a C5-class varnish as a corrosion inhibitor, and the cabinets have been designed for impact resistance to IK10 with ingress protection to IP54. Reliable locking combined with ease of access to the inside of the cabinets was high on the ‘must haves’ list for Eldon engineers when designing the new range. As a result, standard cylinder locks from Swedish manufacturer Industrilas have been exclusively specified on the project.

Eldon engineer Fredrik Anderö says: “We are always thorough with the quality of the products we use and the reason we work with Industrilas is because of their flexible and agile approach. The products offered are high quality and easy to work with.”

Industrilas UK’s Barry George, speaking at the company’s base in Telford, commented: “The majority of our most popular access hardware products, including the type used on the new Eldon chargers, are stocked here for same or following day dispatch. We operate at the high quality end of the market and also have extensive experience of designing bespoke access solutions in partnership with customers.

“Our range of different products is amongst the most extensive available from a European manufacturer, covering hinges, handles, locks and latches manufactured to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. We’re REACH and RoHS compliant and also meet the demanding standards of the rail industry with solutions that meet industry standard DIN EN 61373.”
