Remarkable launches Technical Authority Index, ranking 20 UK industrial technology companies on AI visibility and digital maturity

The report's central finding is that few industrial technology companies currently have a technical reputation that an AI tool will vouch for. To measure this, Remarkable built a sector-specific scoring framework designed around industrial technology's documentation-led sales environment, in which engineers typically evaluate datasheets and CAD files long before they make contact with a supplier.

Each company in the Index is scored across ten metrics:

Using this framework, the report identifies which companies are removing technical barriers to AI discovery, quantifies gaps in technical library accessibility across the sector, and checks AI and digital-twin claims made by companies against supporting patents, papers or case studies.

The framework is designed to work for two audiences: industrial technology companies and the buyers who evaluate them, and it can also be used as a self-assessment tool by any company in the sector wanting to understand its own standing.
