At the recent Xchange conference, SolutionsPT continued its commitment to systems integration with the latest offerings from AVEVA, as Andy Graham, solutions manager at SolutionsPT explains.

Recently I joined the rest of the SolutionsPT team for our Xchange User Conference. The event was a showcase of the latest AVEVA has to offer as well as a look ahead at how we will continue to deliver digital transformation across the UK industrial landscape through both AVEVA products and the rest of our extended portfolio and partner network.

One crucial element of the event was the role of ecosystems, especially when it comes to delivering successful digital transformation. While DX is now a widely-accepted-term and applicable to every business within the industrial spectrum, it is a far from a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach. In fact, a digital transformation journey that delivers value will take input from multiple vendors, experts, and often most importantly, systems integrators. Managed strategically, all these parties combine to offer a tailored journey, specific to the customer’s needs.

Systems integrators are experts in their field, well-versed in the latest technology and with the in-house experience to advise enterprises on how to best achieve their goals. This role is so vital for all things DX and as digital transformation partners it is essential to our own business. Now, with a DX partner on board the SI will have the insight to answer enterprise-wide reaching questions like; how does the efficiency improvement reduce waste, has the human workforce been optimised by the deployment, are these improvements felt by the rest of the supply chain, or can this improvement be replicated across other businesses and processes?

No matter what the questions might be, systems integrators can move beyond product capabilities and delve into business capabilities, gaining the ability to deliver digital transformation that provides value throughout an enterprise.
