Tidying up cables with triflex on a Universal Robot
In its latest video, Igus shows us how easy it is to add the triflex energy chain to a Universal Robot. The triflex energy chain complements the Universal Robot’s movements, enabling a smooth motion without damaging the cables.
The triflex R is a multi-axis e-chain specially designed for robot applications, safely guiding and protecting robot cables. Due to its high tensile force absorption and high flexibility, the energy chain enables a rotation of about ±10° per chain link with complicated motions in the vertical axes. Compared to a cable protection hose, triflex R offers a defined bend radius, which greatly increases the service life of cables and hoses.
